Parents,
I’ve
“cooked” up
some great websites for you and your
child to visit. Enjoy!
http://starfall.com/
This is a
family friendly website where your child can have a ton of fun while
learning to read. I love, love, love this site!
http://bookadventure.org/ Book
Adventure is a free reading motivation program for children in
grades K-8. Children create their own book lists from over 6,000
recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've
read offline, and earn points and prizes for their literary
successes.
This is an awesome site! It
is similar to the Accelerated Reader
Program that is offered here at school. At Book Adventure your
child can select from over 6,000 titles (available at the public
library, bookstores, etc.) to read and then answer questions about on
your home computer. Your child may even already own some of the
books that are included at this site! A must see!

Our school day just wouldn’t be complete without reading out loud
a chapter or two of Junie B. Jones! We love to hear all about her
wacky adventures! At home, your child might enjoy visiting Junie
B.’s website. At this website, your child can color in
Junie’s coloring book (I really had fun doing this!!!) and can
print out some fun activity sheets.
