The Computer Lab is equipped with 30 DELL computers.  Each class is scheduled to come each week at a set day and time.  Each class can schedule an extra time for research etc.   Parents, you’re welcome to come visit anytime during your child’s computer class.

Accelerated Reader Testing
The lab is open to Accelerated Reader testing daily at morning library check-out and afternoon check-out time.  We have 7,854 tests on library books.

 Scott Foresman Testing
Also, we have tests from their Scott Foresman classroom readers.  The Scott Foresman tests come directly from the readers they do not give points but they do let students practice reading skills they need for their grade level.

Literacy Skills Testing
We also have Literacy Skills Tests that go with the Words with Wings program.  Literacy Skills tests do not have points either but they help assess students’ knowledge of 24 skills found in state standards and objectives.  Designed for occasional use, Literacy Skills Tests measure the students’ understanding of higher-order concepts like identifying the main idea, recognizing details and drawing conclusions.  We now have 40 of these type tests.

We have several computer programs from which  classes can choose.  These programs will assist each student in reaching the goals set by the State Standard Course of Study.
