Dear Parents,
Hello and welcome to Bee Log Elementary School. I am very honored to be back at Bee Log not only as the 4th and 5th grade teacher this year, but also as the administrator. Bee Log Elementary has earned many wonderful honors and awards for excellence over the years, and I pledge to maintain that status of excellence that this school has achieved.
My heart is truly here at Bee Log and with the people within this community. I too attended Bee Log as a child, as well as did my grandparents and parents. My grandfather actually helped to build the school in the 1930's. My grandmother worked as a K-1 assistant for 20 years and my mother was a teacher and principal here for a combination of 20 years. So, as you can see I have a very strong connection and interest in this school.
I feel that the community's support has truly helped this school reach such a high status of excellence. We encourage and welcome community volunteers. For instance, we have parent volunteers who help us with our greenhouse maintenance and projects. The PTO is always in need of volunteers for their various activities. Please realize that your involvement is important to us.
I am very excited about the lesson plans that the teachers are developing for this year. The is going to be a lot of focus on science with hands-on-investigations. We recently received great science kits for each grade level and are looking forward to using them throughout the year.
Your child's academic success and safety is of our up-most concern here at Bee Log Elementary. The faculty and staff are very qualified and dedicated individuals who strive for excellence in all that they do.
