Oval: Third Grade’s Night Sky Page Text Box: Night Sky Home Text Box: The third grade has been studying about the stars and moon. During their investigations, they have been keeping a journal about the moon cycles. Not only have the students read nonfiction material, but they have also enjoyed stories that have a moon star theme. Some of the stories students listen to were: Papa Get the Moon for Me by Eric Carl; Good Night Harvest Moon; and Owl Moon. Students read about the life of Vincent van Gogh. They looked at one of his famous paintings of The Starry Night. Using the Kid Pix program, students created their own Night Sky creation.
