Guideline for Day Care
Attendance and Illness
Children
become sick every year when school starts.
Children who have never been around other children seem to be sick more
often. Their immune systems will get
stronger and the frequency will decrease.
We need your help to keep illness to a minimum. Listed below are some guidelines to follow
when your child is sick.
Please
do not bring your child if they have any of the following symptoms:
1. A temperature higher than 99.
2. If your child has vomited in
the last 12 hours.
3. If your child has had a
loose stool in the last 12 hours.
4. If they have a runny nose
that is not clear.
5. If they have a rash that has
not been treated.
6. If they have an illness that
is highly contagious, we will need a doctor’s note stating when the child
should return to the center.
We
will call you if we suspect your child may be sick or getting sick. Please pick them up in a timely manner as to
keep exposure to a minimum.
If
your child has any special medical needs, please let me know so that we can
make appropriate accommodations.
