Program Philosophy

The Mountain Heritage Preschool is a teaching center for the Early Childhood Education Program.  The philosophy of the center is one that encompasses the needs of both the preschool and high school student.  We will provide a comprehensive program that fosters development, encourages learning, builds a sense of community and enhances the lives of both day care and high school students.  We want to prepare both day care and high school students for their next step in the journey of learning.

Program Goals

*To provide children with a safe environment.

*To encourage learning as something children do, not what we do to them.

*To provide new and stimulating learning experiences.

*To encourage children to learn from interactions with     others.

*To enhance a child’s natural curiosity and eagerness to   learn.

*To encourage parent input and participation.

*To provide consistent high quality care by continuously   evaluating the center.

*To encourage a child to feel good about his/herself.

*To promote a sense of community and belonging to a   group.

 Days and Hours of Operation
