Good afternoon East Yancey families,
This is Mrs. Duncan your child’s 6th grade math teacher. I am calling to let you know that I will be staying afterschool on Tuesday May 6th and Thursday May 8th from 3:30-4:30 to provide after school math tutoring for any 6th grade student that would like to stay. Please know your child will need to be picked up out front between 4:20 and 4:30. Transportation will not be provided. Again this is for Tuesday and Thursday, May 6th and May 8th.
Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

If you are interested in helping us with testing by being a proctor on May 13 and/or May 14, please sign up here if you have not. https://forms.gle/MtmByAAMgcUUYVhb8

All BES parents have been notified of the pick up procedure at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Thank you for your patience as BES staff takes every precaution to ensure students are signed out correctly and safely.

Due to a possible gas leak at Burnsville Elementary School from construction, we are releasing those students early. All other schools will stay in session as normal for the remainder of the day. All students are safe and accounted for and are being taken to Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Please be patient as a system for pickup will take a bit to get into place. We will keep everyone updated as we receive them.
