In preparation for potential school closures, we want to share information regarding digital resources and access.

March 14, 2020

Dear YCS Families,

This afternoon the State Board of Education held an emergency meeting to discuss the options for school closures in North Carolina. Following this meeting, Governor Roy Cooper announced that all school systems in North Carolina will be closed March 16 - March 30, 2020.

I can assure you that the YCS Leadership team will continue to work hard over the next few days on the following topics: feeding children and families, child care options, remote learning options and keeping all of our YCS employees healthy and working as we face this public health emergency.

We will release the details of these plans to you on Monday. Please know that we are here to assist you, the children and your families over the next few weeks.

Please take care of yourselves and do not hesitate to let the teachers, nurses, principals, School Board Members or anyone on our administrative team know how we can help you.

Sincerely,

Kathy Amos

To our Mountain Heritage Seniors:

Please know that we are here to support the Class of 2020! Please continue to communicate with your teachers, turn in your assignments and keep doing your very best each day. Keep working hard and you will have your high school diploma in your hand before you know it.
